Kilfinane Outdoor Education Centre
The purpose built centre, based in its own landscaped grounds, has a modern catering area accommodating up to 60 and an indoor sports hall with climbing wall. There are also lounge areas, function and lecture rooms. The centre operates on a daily and residential basis, catering for a wide range of groups, including schools, third level institutions, youth groups, scouts and companies. Groups Only. Ballyhoura Bears Walking Club
The Ballyhoura Bears Walking Group meets every Sunday, and during the summers meets for evening walks during the week as well. Ballyhoura Country is a walker's paradise offering spectacular walking in ancient and unspoiled landscapes. Walking trips can cover up to a thirty miles radius from Kilfinane. Cycling
Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails in Ardpatrick (2 miles from Kilfinane) is the largest trail network of it’s kind in Ireland. 98 km of trails including forest road climbs, tight twisty single track with loads of ups and downs, board walk, tight turns and technical rocky bits are guaranteed to leave you smiling. The trails range from the moderate 6 km Greenwood loop to the demanding Castlepook loop, over 50 km in length!

Angling
The Loobagh rises in Kilfinane and flows southwards through Kilmallock and joins the Maigue below Karrouse Bridge. It is a relatively small river which was seriously degraded by drainage works in the 1970's and 1980's. It is starting to recover. It produces trout averaging about half a pound with occasionally larger fish. Fishing is by ticket only to the Loobagh Angling Club. Fly fishing only is permitted. A 9 inch size limit (fish measured from head to fork) applies. They run about five or six angling competitions each year. The club encourages catch and release. Ballyhoura Rifle and Pistol Range
The Ballyhoura Rifle and Pistol Range is a fully authorised range located 2 miles out of Kilfinane on the Mitchelstown road. The range is floodlit and covered. Pistol up to 45 Calibre. Rifle up to 308 Calibre. Open by appointment only.

Kilmallock Museum and History Trail
This museum holds a small collection of implements dealing with industrial, farming, rural, shop and home life in the 19th and 20th centuries. It also features scale models of houses excavated in the area, and a large model of medieval Kilmallock. A guided tour of the town, starting at the museum, is available each day during high season at twelve noon.

Friars' Gate Theatre
Friars’ Gate Theatre is the centre of arts in South East Limerick. The Centre comprises of a theatre and exhibition centre featuring the works of locally and nationally renowned artists. Friars’ Gate Theatre offers a vast array of dramatic, music and dance performances throughout the year. The annual One Act Festival is held each October during the bank holiday weekend. The theatre is an ideal venue for conferences and meetings.
